Risk management
Risk management is the systematic, iterative process of identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks associated with AI systems. It is the engine room of governance.

Building your governance structure
Governance roles and responsibilities
AI governance is not a one-person job, but it does need a single point of coordination. The following roles form the governance backbone:
AI Compliance Officer / AI Ethics Lead. This is the central coordinating role. Responsibilities include maintaining the AI inventory, overseeing risk assessments, coordinating conformity assessments, managing regulatory relationships, and reporting to the board.
